There is a magical window between 6 and 9 months where your baby’s personality truly starts to shine. They are curious, they are full of giggles, and they haven't quite learned how to crawl away from the camera yet!
My Sitter sessions are designed to capture this "golden age" in its purest form. No distracting sets or over-the-top themes—just your baby, their new expressions, and the beautiful way they are growing.
Relaxed, fun, and entirely baby-led.
I know that by 6 months, babies have their own ideas about how a day should go! If you’re worried about how they’ll react, remember:
- "What if they can't sit yet?" We don't wait for perfection. "Sitter" is just a name—we can capture them beautifully on their tummies or propped up in a soft nest of blankets.
- The Stranger Danger: With 36 nieces and nephews, I’ve seen every level of shyness. We spend the first part of the session just playing and getting to know each other so your baby feels safe and happy before the camera even comes out.
- The Quick Session: Unlike newborn shoots, these are fast and fun (usually about an hour). We work with your baby’s attention span to ensure we get the best of them before they get tired.
Focus on the folds and the freckles.
This age is all about the details—the way they grab their toes, those first tiny teeth, and the "chunky" stage we all love.
- Simple Wardrobe: I recommend keeping it simple with a plain white vest, a neutral romper, or even just a nappy cover.
- Timeless Style: By using a clean, white backdrop, your photos will focus entirely on your baby's expressions. These aren't just "themed" photos; they are portraits of who your child is becoming.

Even as they get older and more mobile, safety remains my priority. With my background in professional photography and the expert "baby-first" influence of my midwife mother, I ensure the studio is a low-sensory, safe environment where your little one can explore and play while I document the magic.

Provisional Booking: Not sure when they’ll be sitting? No problem. We can pencil in a date and move it if they need a little more time to find their balance.
Online Viewing: Just like our newborn sessions, you’ll view your finished gallery from home. No pressure, just beautiful memories.
